Melbourne Ice Australian Champions

Melbourne Ice is the 2010 AIHL champion team after defeating the 2009 champions Adelaide Adrenaline at the Icehouse in Melbourne, 6-4.

Melbourne opened the game early into the first period which was followed by Adelaide captain Greg Oddy evening the score.

The scores remained even throughout the second period, ending 3-3.

Melbourne dominated in the third period, Adelaide unable to close the two point gap.

Chairman of the AIHL Tim Frampton presented the Goodall Cup for the first time to Melbourne Ice. The Cup win was a break on the Ice's five year hoodoo of failures in the AIHL Finals, where they've failed in their previous four attempts.

Melbourne sniper Jason Baclig was awarded the first ever Kendall Finals MVP trophy, leading his team with numerous rushes and setups.

Melbourne Ice players and supported celebrated into the night with their first ever Goodall Cup.
