ABOUT THE AIHL
Founded in the year 2000 with three teams and now in our 25th anniversary year, the AIHL has established itself as Australia's premier hockey competition with ten teams competing for the nation's ultimate prize, the Goodall Cup.
Spread out from coast-to-coast, they include the Adelaide Adrenaline, Brisbane Lightning, Canberra Brave, Central Coast Rhinos, Melbourne Ice, Melbourne Mustangs, Newcastle North Stars, Sydney Bears, Sydney Ice Dogs, and Perth Thunder.
Our teams feature Australia's best locally produced players, as well as premier international hockey talent from North America, Europe and Asia.
As the flagship league for hockey in Australia, the AIHL showcases 155 regular season hockey games annually from April through to August, culminating in the AIHL Finals Series.
All AIHL games are streamed live and exclusive on our streaming platform AIHL.TV, with an extensive archive and replays on demand 24/7.
The AIHL was also the starting point for Australia's first ever NHL player, Nathan Walker.
