2024 Season Announcement

• 20% growth in fans, players and engagements.
• Welcome back into the league, Perth and Adelaide, from a year off following the pandemic.
• Welcome two new teams into the league: Central Coast Rhinos and Brisbane Lightning.
• Launch of AIHL.TV, with over 2000 subscribers, was the only place to watch 135 games of AIHL hockey.
• Live scoring and the four-person officiating across all games.
• The rollout of the AIHLPA - Players Association under Robert Molloy, Captain of the Central Coast Rhinos.

• Culminating in the final battle for the Goodall Cup with the impressive Melbourne Mustangs taking home the penultimate trophy in front of record final’s crowds and viewers.

In 2024, we will be hosting the biggest ever AIHL competition in the last 23 years, comprising of:

10 Teams
The Mustangs will defend their [Goodall Cup] title against our teams representing Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.

150+ Games of Hockey
Each team will play 15 home and 15 away games in the regular season, making 150 regular season live games across eight national stadiums.

2 Conferences
The teams will again play across our two conferences, Rurak and Hellyer, our tribute to two iconic contributors to the AIHL in the last 23 years.

Finals in Melbourne
The AIHL will again host the finals at the O’Brien Icehouse, Melbourne, on the final weekend of August 2024. The structure, games and packages will be announced well before the start of the 2024 season.

AIHL.TV
We are again pleased to announce that all [150+] games will be streamed live to AIHL.TV, as well as all finals. Details of the packages will be released well before 2024 and will include a loyalty incentive for our 2023 streamers who enjoyed year 1 of AIHL.TV.
