2015 All-Star Weekend
Saturday, September 12, 2015
We are excited to announce a new event on the Australian Ice Hockey League calendar. We will hold the inaugural All-Star Weekend presented by APA Group September 12th-13th at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium in Newcastle!
 
The two day event will showcase the talent and personalities of the best local players from the Australian Ice Hockey League in a series of All-Star Skills Competitions and an All-Star Game.
 
Teams will be led by Brian Bales (Newcastle North Stars legend) and Michael Schlamp (captain of the Sydney Bears).
 
The weekend will give fans the best hockey experience and entertainment, and the best opportunities to connect with our game, stars, and community. Get ready for fast, fierce, full on action!
 
Tickets
Tickets are on sale now at http://aihl.net/2015AllStarWeekend
  • Adult 2-day pass (aged 15 and older): $65.00
  • Child 2-day pass (aged 2-14): $48.75
  • Single day passes are available: $35 for adults and $26.25 for children.

Format
Each of the 34 All-Stars will compete in at least one of the six rounds of skill-based contests. The captains and coaches will lead the team selection process to determine which players will participate in the six events: Breakaway Challenge, Fastest Skater, Elimination Shootout, Hardest Shot, Shooting Accuracy, Puck Control.

Newcastle Airport is located between Newcastle and Nelson Bay. The best transportation option is car rental as public transportation is limited in the region.
