Star performers
Melbourne Ice: Tommy Powell
Tommy Powell has been one of the go-to guys in the Melbourne Ice side, especially this season. In his 12th season in the AIHL, Powell has passed 50 points for the first time in his AIHL career this season. The leading Australian point-scorer for 2015, Powell has been huge for the Ice, tallying over 20 goals for the first time in his career as well. For a veteran of over 250 games, with 350 points, the 29-year old has somehow hit another level this season. And as a great performer finals games (13 games, 6 goals, 9 assists, 15 points), Powell is primed for a huge performance over the weekend.
 
Perth Thunder: Toni Kluuskeri
The Thunder's Finnish import Toni Kluuskeri didn't quite hit the top 10 point-scorers but he has been just as important to the Thunder's chances as many of the other leading scorers. Kluuskeri has scored goals when his team has need him, topping the team in power play goals, sitting equal fourth overall in the league in power play goals, assisting seven PP goals as well as scoring three game-winning goals. In a team like the Thunder that can score through any player on the team, it's important to still have a player like Kluuskeri who can score a goal that will lift his side and spur them on to victory.

1. This is will be the fifth meeting between the Ice and the Thunder in 2015. The Ice hold the season series lead at 2-0-2-0.
