Star performers
Perth Thunder: Alex Hudson
The Thunders’ newest import Alex Hudson has made an immediate impact for the Western Australians, having scored three goals, three assists in his five games. Since the Thunder’s had a pretty tough draw since he arrived, the numbers are very strong and show his offensive potency. With the Thunder the second lowest goals for, contributions like Hudson’s are going to be all the more important for the Thunder heading into the play-offs.
 
Sydney Ice Dogs: Jake Burgess
In his first season in the AIHL, few players have had a baptism of fire like Jake Burgess. However the youngster has impressed quite a few people with his saves. Although the youth in the team means the Ice Dogs defence is still learning and he’s faced 38 shots per game that he’s played, reminiscent of Chris Slauenwhite’s workload in the infamous 2012 Canberra Knights season, Burgess can hold his head up high with the 21-year old looking for a huge career in the AIHL.
