The 2014 AIHL Awards finalists have been announced with all eight AIHL clubs represented across the four awards.
The finalists are:
-----
Most Valuable PlayerMathieu Ouellette – CBR BraveNo matter what happens in the finals, Ouellette will take a piece of AIHL history with him, being the Brave’s first goal scorer in an AIHL match. However, the Canadian has been even more influential as a playmaker, assisting in 40 of his teams goals this season, tallying 57 points in 22 matches.
Jack Wolgemuth – Melbourne MustangsThe American import has arguably been more important in his second season in the AIHL. Having scored 19 points (five goals, 14 assists) in 22 games, it’s been the defenceman’s toughness behind a productive offensive line that has seen him voted one of the most influential players in the league.
Simon Barg – Sydney Ice DogsBarg has had a huge career thus far with the Sydney Ice Dogs, scoring 122 points (47 goals, 75 assists) in 53 games.
