AIHL - Australian Ice Hockey League: TTCL
Australia vs New Zealand in all new Ice Hockey Showdown – July 7-8, 2012 - Melbourne

TTCL logo

An all new competition between the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) and the New Zealand Ice Hockey League (NZIHL), has been announced as a first time Trans-Tasman Championship League event set to take place 7 and 8 July at Medibank Icehouse in Melbourne (VIC).

The all new annual two day tournament will allow both the AIHL and the NZIHL to showcase their grand final teams against each other, alternating between Australia and New Zealand venues year on year.

Australian grand final contenders Melbourne Ice, AIHL Champions plus runners up Newcastle North Stars will battle it out against NZIHL Champions Botany Swarm, and runners up Southern Stampede.

Ice Hockey is really starting to gain interest and momentum down under with the level of talent coming up through the ranks, commented Tyler Lovering, Commissioner of the Australian Ice Hockey League.

“We’re starting to fill seats quickly at events, our players are dedicated and everyone has a common goal to grow the sport.

This Australia vs New Zealand event shows the commitment of both leagues to see the sport grow and be as recognized by fans across both countries,” Lovering added.

Tickets go on sale May 30th and can be purchased on-line HERE for $95 per adult and $45 per child for a tournament pass (including reserved seating and Saturday social event pass).

Single game tickets can be purchased for $25 per adult and $12.50 per child.
